Sometimes spot-on, sometimes a little too talkative, like a diner with something to prove. But nothing off-putting. On the contrary, it gives the whole thing a kind of sincerity. The atmosphere, too, doesn't try to be anything it's not. It's neither Naples, nor Paris, nor really anywhere else. It's somewhere in between. A place that doesn't try to tell a story, but simply to serve pizzas, and see if that's enough. Surprisingly, yes. You leave Torino Pizza without a grand declaration of love, but with something rarer, ultimately: the desire to return, to verify that it wasn't a fluke. And that's often the beginning of lasting loyalty.
